Handmade by the Inhaakt foundation and lovingly hand-dyed in the Netherlands, these socks are made of 85% superwash merino wool and 15% biodegradable nylon. With careful use of eco-friendly fabrics, you can be assured of a sustainable and high-quality product.

This biodegradable nylon is a new innovation in fiber technology. Biodegradable nylon decomposes completely and has a much lower environmental impact than regular nylon. Unlike regular nylon, which takes decades to decompose, biodegradable nylon decomposes in just five years. Biodegradable nylon does not decompose during normal use and is just as strong and durable as regular nylon until it reaches landfill.

The yarn is also hand-dyed in an environmentally friendly way using acid dyes and carefully washed in an unscented wool wash.

Where possible, dye baths are reused multiple times to reduce environmental impact and minimize the ecological footprint.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, there is a slight variation in sizing, but that gives a unique and charming touch to the socks and makes each pair of socks one of a kind.
